THE WATER CRISIS IN SARGODHA: Why It Matters

 Water is life, yet thousands of people in Sargodha still live without access to clean and safe drinking water. 🔹 Nearly 70% of water sources in rural Punjab are contaminated with bacteria, arsenic, or industrial waste (Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources). 🔹 Around 40% of all diseases in Pakistan are waterborne , including diarrhea, typhoid, and hepatitis. 🔹 In many schools of Sargodha,  there are no proper water filters , forcing children to drink unsafe water or go without. 🔹 53,000 children die every year in Pakistan from diarrhea caused by unsafe drinking water (UNICEF).
